Our first consultations are complimentary, last 90 minutes, and include a full estimate during the visit—you won’t have to wait days or weeks to get pricing from us.
How long does a front yard planting project take from start to finish?
We run a 6-man crew and can typically complete 1–2 front yard makeovers per day.
Do you remove old plantings before installing new landscaping?
Most front yard makeovers involve some level of demo. However, if the client has existing plantings with good structure, we’ll incorporate them into the new design whenever possible.
What’s your landscape design process?
Once a deposit is secured, we’ll create and present two design concepts, gather feedback, and use that input to develop a final plan. The first three designs are included in the project with no additional fees.
Can you work around existing trees and structures?
Yes—custom landscape design is about enhancing the property while working with existing trees, structures, and features.
What Chicago suburbs do you serve for landscape design?
We work on projects large and small within 15 minutes of our shop: Lemont, Homer Glen, Orland Park, Tinley Park, Mokena, Frankfort, and New Lenox.
For larger design-build projects that justify longer travel, we also serve: La Grange, Oak Brook, Hinsdale, Burr Ridge, Westmont, Western Springs, Willow Springs, and Darien.
What’s the best time to plant in Illinois?
Fall is ideal. The cooler temperatures, consistent rainfall, and end-of-season dormancy make fall planting easier to care for and more successful for homeowners.
What plants work best for Chicago’s climate and soil?
We always recommend native plants or cultivars closely related to their native ancestors—they’re best adapted to our region’s soil and weather conditions.
Do you work with HOA landscape requirements?
Yes—most of our clients live in HOA neighborhoods, and we’re happy to adjust designs as needed to comply with HOA guidelines.
How much does professional landscape design cost?
Professional landscaping typically starts around:
• $6,000 for plant-only installations
– (Demo and stonework will add to that cost)
• $18,000 for backyard makeovers with concrete patios, grading, drain tile, plantings, and sod
• $30,000 for backyard makeovers with brick paver patios, grading, drain tile, plantings, and sod

Scott has owned his landscape company since 1995 and holds a degree in Ornamental Horticulture & Landscape Design from the University of Illinois. It could be the wrong plant in the wrong place, improper care (too much or too little water), or poor soil conditions. It’s a big question, and without an on-site consultation, we can’t give an accurate diagnosis.
