Transforming a Professor's Yard into a Buzzing Butterfly Haven: A Mokena Habitat Harmony!
Working on this unique front yard landscape makeover in Mokena, Illinois was a rewarding experience for our local landscape company. The client, a professor of entomology, sought us out for our expertise in horticulture. His goals were clear: increase curb appeal, ensure year-round interest, prioritize native planting design, and foster a habitat for pollinators like native bees and butterflies.
Our landscape designer crafted a plan that not only enhanced curb appeal but also provided a butterfly garden filled with bee-friendly plants. Incorporating seasonal color and perennial garden design, we ensured the landscape would thrive in Mokena’s climate.
What made this project truly special was the client’s dedication to caring for the garden. He participated in fall and spring cleanups, eager to learn how to maintain his new landscape. Installed over half a decade ago, the garden still captivates with its beauty, a testament to our collaboration and the enduring allure of native planting design.

Why scott flanagan landscape is the right choice
Typical landscape companies operate with one salesperson, no landscape designers, and several small crews handling multiple projects simultaneously.
At Scott Flanagan Landscape, we operate differently. With two dedicated designers and a six-person installation team focused on one project at a time, we ensure quality and efficiency. While one designer in the office, Scott is able to oversee the on-site crew, guaranteeing a high-quality final installation and minimizing disruption to your daily life.
